It’s Friday! Welcome back to another Fun Friday post. If you stopped by last Friday, you’ll recall that I shared my new summer project with readers – the restoration of an old wooden dollhouse. I included a few pictures of the lovely dollhouse I found at a local antique shop. If you missed the pictures you can see them here:

Today I’m sharing the first step of this restoration project. I am shopping for a trio of colors that suit my adorable dollhouse. If you were here last Friday you’ll know that I was considering a Victorian color scheme as that is my favorite period home. I didn’t realize how hard it would be to choose something as simple as 3 colors of paint. So I’m sharing my top 4 choices with you in the hope that you all will help me decide. Take a look below at the color combinations and tell me your favorite in the comments. I’ll be choosing a random commenter via to win a $5 Amazon card too:)

Here we go!

Trio #1 – sage green, blush pink, pale yellow

Trio #2 – white, dark gray, lavender

Trio #3 – Periwinkle blue, gold, yellow

Trio #4 – Tan, dark green, burgundy

So, tell me in the comments the number of the trio that appeals to you most. Readers have the whole weekend to comment, so tell your friends to stop by for a chance to win the $10 Amazon card too! I’ll be announcing the winner on Monday!

Have a great weekend!

I like the 2nd one. The fourth one would be my second choice. It sounds like a fun project! Thanks for this contest :-)

Thanks so much, Leslie! It’s so hard to pick because they’re all so pretty. This is going to be so much fun to work on this summer. Good luck and thanks for stopping by. I hope you’ll stop by again soon!

I love the #2 colors. That lavender is beautiful! Dollhouses play a role in my next book, but I never had one as amazing as these!

    • Christina says:

Isn’t that lavender beautiful, Krysten?!? I loved it right away but wasn’t sure if it kept within a Victorian theme. I’m open to going with something that isn’t from the Victorian period if I love it enough :) Thanks for stopping by and stop by again!

  3. First choice: #2. Second choice: #1. The other two don’t strike me as Victorian.

    • Christina says:

I thought that too, Patricia, but I did think it was a pretty combination of color. Thanks so much for stopping by!

  4. Lisa says:

White, dark gray, lavender of course!

  5. Jane McGarry says:

I like Trio #2 Christina – I just love the lavender and grey!! I LOVE this project – I am living vicariously through you!!!

    • Christina says:

Me too, Jane! I’m leaning very strongly toward that trio. Purple happens to be my favorite color :) Thanks for stopping by and I hope you’ll stop by again soon!
